The Adventures of Taz...

Meet Taz

Once upon a time, in the cozy town of New Jersey, there was a small-town kid named Thomas “Tom" Zub. Born in 1986, Tom had a heart so big that everyone instantly liked him. His friendly eyes and smile made you feel as if you could trust him from the moment you met him. Tom was not only a good person but also skilled at whatever he put his mind to.

As Tom grew up, he decided to become a hero—a Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, and a member of a Hazard Materials Team. Tom had a special love for motorcycles, especially the powerful Harley-Davidsons.

In 2016, Tom joined a motorcycle club called Fourth Watch, where brave folks dedicated to public safety rode motorcycles together. In these clubs, members earn unique "road names" based on their personalities and actions. Tom was given the road name "Taz" because he threw himself wholeheartedly into the club and never looked back.

In 2021, a tough challenge came Taz's way. He was diagnosed with throat and tongue cancer. Even in the face of this struggle, Taz never stopped giving his all to the club. Sadly, in 2022, Taz passed away, leaving behind a legacy of courage and kindness.

In the year 2023, the club decided to honor Taz's memory in a special way. They raised funds to provide a service dog to a 9-11 first responder. This special pup was named Taz after their beloved brother Tom. This amazing service dog would carry on Taz's legacy, bringing comfort and support to those in need.

Though Taz is no longer with them, the members of Fourth Watch will forever miss their brother. His legacy will live on through the incredible service dog, a furry reminder of the love and dedication Taz brought to the world.
